Yes, it will do alot of good and his new plan is the best yet. The more troops we have in Iraq the sooner this war will come to an end.

Regardless of what you think of the war more troops generally doesn't hurt. I would certainly like to see more, but at the same time the strategy is for the Iraqis to take back over with "SUPPORT" from coalition forces. If we pump thousands of additional troops in Iraq it will do nothing to encourage them to fight. I believe the most important thing is to see if the Iraqis uphold their end of the bargain. If they do I believe we can be successful in Iraq...if they don't then no-one can say we didn't give them a chance. What I am tired of hearing from everyone is that we need a change in strategy, but yet no-one presents a strategy. Then the President does exactly that and he is chastised for doing so. I served twice in the region. I have seen first hand how much good we have done and how much more we could do if people would just believe that our guys can get it done. Our guys in Iraq realize this, and have shown it in the staggering number of re-enlistments. They believe in the mission, why can't everyone else believe in it as well. If you don't support the war, that's your choice, but Freedom is infectious and will keep this country safe for years to come...if we simply give it a chance to succeed in Iraq.

I think he should send more over to Iraq. My husband is in the USN. The news does not tell anyone the good things they have accomplished over in Iraq because people do not want to hear that information. That is why all you here is negative. They have made alot of success over there. If you send more troops over there then the war will eventually end. The bigger your army is the more power you have to do the job you need to do. I support Busch in every way. So does my husband.

I like the rest of the people would like to have a crystal ball that would answer that question.

I do know this much though. The Democrats have no answer than to turn tail and run. Running from a problem is never an answer. The problem still remains and will only grow worse.

I am sure that the British thought we were terrorists and rebels when we sought our independence. If it had not been for France aiding us during the war and after the war we would not have our own nation today. I am sure France had their motives for helping us and I am equally sure that there were those in France who were opposed to helping us.

I think we need to give it a chance to work but we need some definite time tables on what needs to be done by what date. I don't want our troops there indefinitely.

The Democrats don't want to give this a chance for one reason. They are afraid it will work and if Bush's plan succeeds they know they won't have any chance to win in 2008.

Yes of course it will, for the most part there is peace in Iraq, the trouble is in one Provence and Baghdad. From a military perspective you either fight to win or you don't. The Dems and anarchists want us to lose (oh and one traitor of a Republican). People don't understand what has happened their. Below I will explain the situation. Then think about it.

After 9-11, we needed a battle ground that would easily create a vacuum to suck the terrorists into, this battle ground is Iraq, now doubt Pres. Bush thought this war-fighter scenario would kill two birds with one stone, and this turned out to be only partly true. The Idea is called shaping the battlefield, get their first prepare and anticipate the enemy, Pres. Bush was right when he said we fight them there, or we fight them here. We have quelled most of Iraq, lets finish the job. If we lose, they (with funding from Iran) will be better armed, and better hidden, and will strike us in multiple places.

And frankly if the Dems actions continue down the current path, and that leads to us losing the war. I will urge everyone of my brethren serving in combat arms to lay down there guns, and go home to prepare to protect their own families. And let the cowardly leaders in the Democratic party defend them selves. For they are not worthy of our protection.

I heard him say he wants to send more troupes over there. Why else would he send our youth over there? Of course somehow in his mind he thinks it will do good. I am no fan of Bush by the way.I'd rather not vote at all if I thought the next election was going to be fixed.

I doubt it. The only possible thing it could help would be for us to get better control of the situation before pulling out. The problem is things are such a mess over there it's very doubtful that will actually work and what's worse is he'd be placing more Americans in danger for a war we should have never started in the first place.

He knows it's a huge mess but it would be too hard for him to admit defeat so he will never give up in an attempt to save face. Of course there isn't much that can help that now. I think maybe Bush is the least liked pres we've ever had - and that says something.

They may kill a few more terrorists/insurgents but the US will never have enough troops to win in Iraq unless there was a draft and there's no way Bush will start a draft.
