Winters are very cold. Today the high is around 40 and the low around 20. It's very cold in the mornings and it doesn't usually warm up until late afternoon around five. The last couple of weeks have been really cold--low around single digits. But that's not so common. Sometimes there's snow, but it usually melts pretty fast if the sun is shining. Sometimes snow might cause some traffic problems the day after a storm, but it usually clears up.

Summers are very hot at times. The high can get around 100. It's ok in the mornings, very comfortable, but when you get to the afternoon, it's very very hot. July and August are like that. May and June are kind of ok. Plus, it's a very dry heat and the shade really helps, it's about 10 degrees cooler under a tree. Also during the summer, the sun is very fierce so it burns when you're in the sun too long.

It is dry there in the summer with temps in the summer upper 80's at times. Winter is GREAT. Lots of snow but better snow than on the east coast. Try weather.com and list Boise, ID and it will tel you the averages for each season and the snowfall there too. Also go to the local Boise page. cityofboise.org They have a place for visitors and in it shows the weather averages for the city. Hope this helps.
