Ask your mother to get you the pads that are very thin yet absorbent. You can put them in your pocket. If you are scared that they could fall out, either put them in your sock, or even in a change purse. It is small and will fit in your pocket also. You will tell them when you are ready. Personally I never told my friends outright. I waited for them to tell me about their situation and then it all came out. If your friends are immature wait a little while. You are blooming!! Congratulations!!!

Uh.... unless every friend you have is a boy, you have nothing to worry about! and even if they are all boys, so what having your period is part of growing up and becoming a woman. Anyways, most pads are available in thin or small, and you could always try tampons..... they can be a little scary at first but youll get used to them. Try tampax pearl for first starters. Also, if you REALLY want to get brave, talk to your mom, (or dad or whoever) about getting on somesort of birth conrol. There are certain kinds that will stop your period all together.

What's nice is that most pads now are so thin that you can put one in your pocket and no one can see them. My daughter puts them in her backpack or in her coat pocket. Don't worry so much. I would just carry a purse and tell them what it's for. They are probably going through the same thing. Good luck!

um.. carry a more boyish purse. like.. a small one with a long strap so you put it aroundd your shoulder. boyish. and if they ask about it (if they think it's unusualy or anything) just tell them! it's nothing to be embarrased about. you're friends are gonna get it soon anyway. they'll understnad. why would someone be made fun at for having their period?! thats absurd.
