What was the speed limit, and how fast were you going?

back when i was in HS,a cop claimed i was doing 85 in a 40, totally not true. i was driving my mom's old 77 vw rabbit and if you went over 45 the steering wheel would shake you into a seizure; so i always drove slowly until i got it fixed.
i told the cop a red supra just blew past me and he must've clocked him but caught me.he told me i was not to ever question an officer, gave me my ticket and left.

4 weeks later, i had to appear and was charged with excessive speeding-$195 plus court cost. ouch. between keeping my raggedy ride running and the expenses most teens have, that ticket ate most of my paycheck's extra for next couple of months(this was when minimum wage was less than $4 an hour).

I got my first speeding ticket a couple of weeks ago. It was at night and was perfect weather, no cars around at all (I'd passed them a half hour before, lol). This cop was sitting facing me on the other side of the road. He had all his lights off and was hidden in beside a rock face. I whiz by at 111 km/hr in an 80 zone - which I have gone by other cops on that road before and not been bothered - and he FISHTAILS outta there and turns on his lights like I was a bankrobber! I assumed since I was the only one around he was pulling me over (lol, i decided just to pull over and not keep driving and make sure it was me he wanted). He spent forever in his car getting the ticket - I think he was having a coffee... He knocked it down from a possible 200-some ticket to 95, since I was not a bankrobber and just a common speeding criminal. I had been so tempted to say "You FINALLY caught me!" Since I've had a led foot forever and had never been caught till then. I managed to control myself though.

I'm ashamed to admit I've gotten pulled over three times for speeding, two of which I got a ticket for! My first one, I was going 88 in a 65...which cost me $180. My second one, I was going 99 in a 70...which cost me $270 :( ...But, they were over three years ago, and I've slowed down a lot since then, and haven't been pulled over for speeding since, thank you very much!

Actually, I was pulled over for a slowing ticket.

I was driving my mother-in-law's 1965 Mustang and i was so nervous about piling it up I was 10 miles below the posted limit.

The cop pulled me over and asked what was the problem, so I explained to him the situation that I did not want to get in a wreck with this car.

He looked at the car, looked at me and said "You can afford to drive just a little faster, but you didn;t hear that from me."

No ticket.

100 in a 55
45 in a 30
65 in a 55 (5 or 6 times)
85 in a 70
And then there were the other violations...
