I'm starting to see a correlation. That's why my kitty is so freakin' smart.

Maybe. Im pretty damned smart (IMHO) and i sleep 9 1/2 hours a night. I also notice that when im studying, i seem to sleep for longer, like it takes your brain longer to assimilate all the info you have learned. So maybe if you don't sleep long enough, you don't remember as much? Just a theory!

Directly... no, indirectly yes

Sleep will not raise someones IQ, but lack of sleep will lower it. Someones intelligence remains steady, but reaction and stimulation will increase with a good nights rest.
