There are so many magazines for thin people, I was wondering if anyone would buy a magazine with plus size models/celebs/real people in it.
It would show case plus size fashion and how not everything is ugly.. as well as fashion tips and makeup tips.. etc.

I agree with the person who said they'd love to see a magazine with real women!
And to the other person, what do you consider normal to be? Just because you are a size 5 doesn't mean that a person who is a size 16 isn't beautiful.
Be happy with what God gave you.

Sure! Big is beautiful too. I know some plus size women who have just as big hearts. We as a large group of people have to be conscious of our well being, because some people don't understand that big or small, we are still a human race. Today's kind of women as well as men are accepting to the fact that plus size is workable too. Fashion has come a long way. Big women look just as good as small women. I love what Queen Latifah has done with the CURVES lingerie. It's beautiful! I can't say that I would want to see more in magazines. Big and Beautiful is covered pretty well. p.s. The way a person fells about themselves is more important. A women with OK self-esteem perhaps feels just as small as a thinner person. It's all about how you carry yourself.

I think that on one hand, it would be great to have beauty tips for plus size women and pictures of models that are plus sized, but then again, there are no magazines that are specificly for thin women. They are for women in general, and making magazines only for plus sized women may cause some segragation. I think it would be the best if normal magazines included tips for plus sized women as well as thin women. But until that happens, a magazine for plus sizes would sell very well.

Yes, I'd buy a magazine for plus-sized women. There are ads for the right types of undergarments; bras, girdles, hosiery.
There are articles on how to make the most of your assets and play down the bad parts.
They also show how to match up pants w/shoes, skirts w/boots, everything. I subscribe to many fashion magazines. A lot of them also show how to find the 'knock-offs'; designer like clothes at Target-like prices. It's worth the subscription price!

I certainly would. I have in the past, I think the magazine was called "Mode". I would love to see articles on how plus size women realize their dreams: finding a husband, advancing in the corporate world, etc.

I do not like a skinny bone girls but neither a plus size. Just because I weigh 160 lbs and I stand 5'9''. I stay on shape all the time, so my mate should be the same

Considering half the women in the USA are over weight and must buy plus sizes, you would think a magazine with full figured models would be welcome. Surprise, none of us seem to want to see fat girls modeling clothes. I am a plus size and buy some of my clothing from a catalog. All of the models are about a 10 or 12. Of course, the clothes, when I get them, don't look on me the way they looked in the catalog. We all seem to want to pretend that we are going to slim down some day soon and don't want to see what we really look like. There is one catalog that shows under garments for plus sizes and they use real models who are really plus size. But they are all very good looking, young, firm gals who don't look fat, just hefty. Lot of guys like that kind of look. Big Mama.
A magazine showing fashions for that are flattering on big gals would be nice. It could have articles on how to minimize your size, make-up, hair care, exercise, etc. But it is all going to come down to the fact that we all think we are going to lose weight and get skinny someday.
And most of are not ever going to.
So, no, I don't think a magazine like you discribe would be a best seller. We would have to admit we were fat to buy it, and none of us want to do that.

i personally think that all types of sizes of women should be in fashion magazines
i love seeing a happy plus sized woman
instead of an unhappy anorexic woman.
but plus size has to have a point where people are concidered "obese"
i would not want to see a 400lb woman in a swimsuit saying "i love my body"
thats just gross.
overall it is important to have a variety of different body types in fashion magazines
so the reader stays intregued with the magazine.

ABSOLUTELY! I would love to see real size real women with out the airbrushing in a real mag. for real people! Why do you plan to start it? You should! No one else has come out with one and you might become the next richest women in Forbes mag. I mean really how many models do you cross in a day verses real women?

Magazines are geared towards normal people. Fat isen't normal its unhealthy.
No i wouldnt buy it because i wouldnt want to look at unhealthy slobs. Why wouldnt you just be healthy and wear normal clothes?
Did you know in the 50's a 24 inch waist was on a size twelve dress....a 24 inch waist was standard because people were active. DOn't drive everywhere ...whens the last time you ate your veggies then you will be normal wieght just like your supposed to be.
Beause one out of every 2 people in US is fat ...obesity has become normalize. Overweight isen't normal.
HUMANS ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE FAT!!
In the magazine you should put articles about healthy eating, the benefits of excersise and how it can make you live longer. Articles about how eating mostly veggetables and proteins that arent from animals can help you live longer and help prevent cancer. You should offer coupons for diabetes medicine and discount on pace makers for when the women get older. Arthiritis medication.....hmmm what else.
Normal is extremely healthy...Stop Nomalizing fat. Obesity is not considered an epidemic for nothing. That would be like having Cancer is Awesome weekly or CLothes for Aids patients...like its normal to be overweight.
However im sure this magazine is a great idea because their is about 50% in USA of woman who know nothing about healthy lifestyle and they would eat this right up you could make a forture in lying to people. The rest of corporations do it ...so why cant you.
