DO you seriously want my opinion...I live in Fernwood Estates where the tornado hit on christmas day...and I serioulsy would not want you to get involved in a mobile home. I lost my own home and the tornado was 100 ft away..My family and I still are living out of a friends house...but seriously if you want to..the taxes are a hundred each person and to buy one if you want a single its gonna be around 12,000 if you want a double its gonna be around 20,000 to 30,000 depending on if they fixed it up or not. But all I have to say is good luck...but the taxes might be different I live in Florida

Some people can be so rude to people with perfectly good questions. A mobile home is considered personal property and the tax credit is only applicable to real property (land and the improvements permanently affixed to land, like a house). It is a tax credit, not a rebate.

That depends where you live. Each state is different. I almost bought one in CT for 20,000 with 320 a month fee to property owner, does not include tax.

I bought a house outright in Ohio for 8,000 and my tax is 250 a year. Move to Ohio, It's cheap. You can buy a decent home for under 20,000 and the tax is nothing.

Good Luck.

Every place is different, so I can only tell you what ours cost:

$23,000 for a 2 BR 1 bath 1997 singlewide in Pennsylvania
$250/month lot rent includes water, sewer, trash, snow removal
$430 school taxes/year

My father in law has a doublewide in New Jersey which he paid $185,000 for!! His lot rent is $500/month. It all depends on where you are and how big and new your home is.

You've got to give us more:

Where is the mobile home?
Single-wide, double-wide, new, used, what year?
Do you own the land or rent it?

Give us more details. I suspect the range to be quite great. There are very nice mobile home parks on the river, lake, ocean and there are some where you can touch your neighbors mobile home in the city...

Help us, help you!

dont do it I got rid of mine the heat will cost you more than a cheap house in the long run, the insulation is always crap and costs like 4 times it does to heat or cool a small house.

it's based on how many teeth you have, how big a nascar fan you are... and how many cigars granny smokes.
