5 months ago I fractured my tibia and fibula and had a rod inserted, along with 4 screws. I have noticed that when I shave my legs, the hair grows back much faster on my broken leg. My left leg (the not broken one) can go days without being shaved, however the broken leg (my right one) has "stubble" after a day. I was just curious.

Assuming that you are taking it easy on the broken leg; I would say that regular activity possibly either curbs hair growth, or that the growth is inhibited on the unbroken leg by constant breaking off with activity. Those would be my only guesses; otherwise, I am sure it is documented that strange things occur after surgery. Are you positive that there is a significant difference? Are you shaving the broken leg 2nd? Not removing the hair deep enough with a duller razor?

I have less hair on my broken leg. I think it has some thing to do with the fact that my circulation in that leg is not as good as my other leg.
Yours could be the opposite because of the metal in your broken leg. It is only a guess.

Because when it was in a cast, it was really moist and dry, and that causes the hair to grow faster. By the way, I hope your leg feels better!
