3. Edward is not a genius, he is rather very skilled, people who have seen the Gate to the other side are able to cast without seals

5. The saddest part of FMA for me is where Edward sacrifices himself to bring back Alphonse and where the colonel's friend that guy that got promoted dies -> watch the movie as well

Yes and No. He is has always been a very adept Alchemist. When he opened the Gate allot of information was poured into his mind, thus he does not need a circle.

No:( There are a few FMA OVAs, say that 3 times fast. Hopefully as the populatriy increases so will the chances of another movie or series. Chances are if they do not continue the current Anime, they will make another one to fit the Manga.

Hard to say. I cry, or get misty eyed allot during it. I think the episode "Mother" was heartbreaking. I definitely started crying when Ed took out Greed and freaked, then later when he Killed? Trisha/Sloth. I think the saddest theme of FMA is no one gets the perfect life and no one really gets there dream fulfilled.

Mythical Germany where alchemy advanced instead of technology. There are some elements of tech such as phones but they resemble stuff from the 20's. Automail is the most advanced tech there is.

What is your definition of a genius? Book smarts? Going on the manga; he is a genius. Anime ... could argue.

Unlikely as the anime has deviated completely from the manga and brought about conclusions that are incorrect (unresolved). The manga also has additional characters and different use of some other characters e.g. Armstrong's sister. She's not what you think!

If you're looking for sad - read the manga. The anime is a happy story compared to it. There are some really twisted moments in the manga.

It's kinda true; it's not a new season, it's a new series. A remake, it's supposed to follow the manga more closely than the anime they have out now does.
