I just purchased a Princeton 19" LCD monitor with a 6 ms response time. My question is, is this response time sufficient for most of todays latest generation 3rd person shooter pc games (i.e. FEAR, Half-Life 2, Quake 4, Doom 3, Far Cry, etc). Until now I've had a CRT so this wasn't an issue. But, lately I've been hearing about the importance of the LCD monitor to have a fast response time in order to play these latest games adequately. Thanks for any input.

You should be fine, but don't trust the labeled response time. That's only for one shade of gray (6ms). Full color images will always have longer response times, up to 50ms (even on 4ms response rated LCDs). If you move your mouse around really fast and don't see trails, you're good.

Definitely! A 8 ms is already pretty good for those games. However, check the contrast and viewing angles on that monitor.

6 ms will be fine, basically anything under 12 ms will be good for gaming, so you should have no problems.

That should be fine.
