Christians who are Christian for the right reasons aren't against anyone. They do not judge others and only try to make their own lives better.

So-called Christians who say they are Christians for the wrong reasons by promoting their own views of bigotry and hatred are the ones who are against other people.

because some of their family members and friends are bi/les. They're fighting something that will never change and if they were all on the side of God they would not act that way. From my understanding God put us all here and there are no mistakes. They use that "you're going to hell" as a scare tactic and if they opened their eyes they would see that we are already in hell. That great president of ours has us in the middle of a war and you're tripping off of "who i'm sleeping with", are you serious???? There's starving and homeless people, kids, mothers, fathers, everybody is losing their jobs, minds and everything else and gay issues is on your mind, ok. We cannot beam ourselves to another planet or galaxy we are stuck here together, so why hate one another because we have different views and outlooks on life. That's what makes you who we are and why do we want to tamper with that?

I was brought up in a Catholic household and I can tell you that from my experience, it depends on how much the person takes the bible literally. The people who do are the ones who seem to be anti-homosexual. It's really silly to take that book literally because of all the contradictory stories in there. The bible is against homosexuals but it's OK for a man to sleep with his daughters so he can procreate! My parents were the type of Christians that didn't take it literally. They are very supportive of my transgender lifestyle and believe that God made us with the ability to be who we want to be. It's all about the individual, not the religion on the whole.

Christians are against enjoyment of life. They frown upon anything that is simply and completely enjoyable. They're against masturbation, and that doesn't even include a 2nd person. Well, I guess it CAN, but that's beside the point.

Screw them. Go get your gay/bi lover, pick up some beer on the way, and come party with us Pagans!

Some are "against" bisexuality and lesbianism, not the PERSON, but the action because the bible says that homosexuality is an abomination in the eyes of the LORD. People, Christians included and especially have no business judging, but if asked, a humble Christian will admit that anything (ANYTHING, even heterosexuality) out of the context of marriage as it relates to sex is just as abominable in God's eyes and thus should be avoided if at all possible. I understand natural desires and lust and everything that we as people feel, but that sort of relationship is not Godly. It may feel like heaven, but the truth is, it is just not.

I am a Christian and I am not against anyone. I just feel that being gay is against "God's" plan. HE created Adam and Eve for the propagation of the human race. Not Adam & Adam or Eve & Eve. It's just sad that people can't help what they are and have to go through life trying to deal with it. Prayers to all !

a lot of the hatred/ misunderstanding seems to be related to their understanding of certain sections of the old testament, and the book of Romans (Paul). Actually, Jesus never says anything against those who lay with folks of the same gender, and Paul has a very brief section where he says we should die (along with those who commit a list of other sins, such as dis-obeying your parents). Most opf their fuel comes from OT, or the sections they care to not ignore.

because even though they are supposedly taught that God is all loving they think that it is a cardinal sin to like the same gender! for shame on them the have very selective memories when it comes to bible passages they FORGET that the bible says: "JUDGE LEAST THEE BE JUDGED" meaning that they are NOT suppose to pass judgement on any-body!

I'm glad that you asked that question, it's about d*mn time someone had enough of a backbone to.

Don't pay any attention to Megan D about it being a sin, if it were a sin why in the hell did GOD make them that way, being gay is genetic, and THAT is a scientifically proven fact.

i am a Christian and although i do not at all agree with that type of lifestyle bc my Bible says its wrong and is not supposed to happen...but one also has to be realistic its 2007 and its not going to change. some christians love to judge..more like alllll human beings, but i for one would not turn from a person bc of this issue. God still loves us no matter what sin we commit so i should have no reason to do any different no matter what sin one does...
