that i don't. my screen also moves up and down by itself. does anyone know what this is and what to do about it?

It might be possible, seen a virus do that, but also hardware issues as well. Goto www.antivirus.com and run housecall (free) to check for viruses.

Virus do not cause this type of activity.
A faulty mouse will.
Connect another mouse to your computer and see if it fixes the problem.
Or connect your mouse to a friends computer and see if the problem continues.
If yes replace your mouse.

Bad mouse. You'll need to buy a new one. The mouse you're currently using may have a damaged cord.

I've had that happen. It was a bad mouse. The cord was fraying inside.
