I need to make a backup disk for an computer using windows xp it didn't come with one because it was windows 98 and has been upgraded

Click start button
go to run and click
on the command box type "ntbackup"
and click enter
on the pop-up dialogue box
click backup tab and select the files you want to backup
or backup the whole harddisk
then save the backedup file on another hard-disk
There is also the option of restoring the backedup data

Are you speaking about a ghost photo? If that is it, what's the blunders precisely? Does the device even boot? Does it load the photo in any respect? in case you position the cd contained in the force, make effective the CD force is the traditional boot force contained in the bios (in case you want besides from the cd). placed the HD as secondary... yet somewhat extra information is mandatory to be of any authentic help right here...

Go to microsoft.com and download Windows Live Onecare and it will show you what to do and it will update everything you need.
