But technically, it would still be called a fly.
Just because your mom named you Rose, doesnt mean you have to be one. I realize that it's a little different in the case of the fly though. But it would still be called a fly regardless of what happened to it, because it was one originaly (and as i said, technically still is). That's just what the insect is called.

Also, technically, it can still fly (airplane.. etc). It's not like it's called a wing.



And no, it would not be dead. At least not for a while. And even if it did die right away, you wouldnt say, "hey there's a dead on your shoulder!". You'd still refer to it as a fly, except of course, you might add "dead" in front of it, but that would just be describing the kind of fly it is..


Yeah... I have the tendency to overthink some things hehe.

But i hope it wasnt too confusing.

An ant. Maybe a maggot. There are no naturally occurring flies without wings. However, flies are developed for the pet trade that are wingless. These are used to feed other pets. Wingless insects are food for any number of pet frogs, snakes, fish, and rodents.

During the larvae or pupal stage the fly have no wings, it just crawl. ...so u call it a crawl
