I was off work sick and got out of bed to fix a hot drink. Switching on the TV, I started channel hopping and came across what I thought was a movie. In my befuddled state it was a while before I realised the images were real. I cannot describe how shocked I felt, especially when the first tower collapsed. So in my little cottage in England this horror became real and I thought there would some sort of world war.

I was at work, 45 miles away from home. After the Pentagon got hit I left because I was worried about my son at school. I remember looking up at the sky and feeling so weird not seeing any jets because they had grounded all air traffic. It was a day that changed the life of every American forever.

I was junior in high school, and I was in a video production class. My group had to make a commercial, and we were out and about around the hallways getting ideas and filming things. One of the teachers happened to be out in the hallway on her cell phone and she was crying and freaking out and said she was going to go turn the TV on right then. So we rushed back to our classroom and turned the TV on just in time to see the 2nd plane hit. It was horrible, and I will never forget where I was or what I was doing that day.

I was sitting at home in my living room putting on my shoes, getting ready to go to work, wondering what was happening hoping and praying my daughter who ran away would call me..(she did).... then I went to work and sat there stunned watching a little tv with everyone else.... Because I work for the State, they sent us all home... shortly after....( I remember my daughter running into my work crying and worrying about her dad who was in the Air force)... It was a very painful but healing time for my family...unfortunately at the cost of such a horrible price....

In bed about to go to sleep with the TV on, then the first news story came through and we didn't sleep all night and watched everything unfolding.
It made me want to vomit and cry at the same time.
