Death waiting in the night
As I lay here
Late at night
Waiting for death
To take its flight
Over my mind, body, and soul
I don’t know where I’ll go,
I don’t know who I’ll see,
As long as I’m away from this place
It’ll free me from my misery
Shadows creep in my room
When will I be gone,
Will it be soon?
Breath turns cold
In the night
Is it death,
Or is it all in my mind?
Feelings of someone watching me
I close my eyes
Death I do not fear
I close my eyes
Death is near,
I take one last breath,
And I disappear
