Well its a good thing that you stayed really good friends. You two must have a strong connection. I would just act more flirty with him see how he reacts. Or you could just tell him. I know if i broke up with my current girlfriend which i would never do so she would be the one to do it. I would still be friends with her but still want more than that. Friend, relationship lines are hard to deal with. Good luck.

I think you are luckier to have him for a friend than most people would. I don't think you should mention LOVE to him. Just be content being a friend and the relationship may develop into more, but maybe not. This part you will have to accept and be patient with.

there is no best way to get past it. always gonna hurt too. ya just learn to deal with it in time. im still friends with my high school sweet heart, when we first broke up i hated even hearing about her with another man, but i knew it was over so i drank heavily till i pass'd out one night and didnt wake up for 2 days. still felt crappy about the whole break up thing and well thts when i came up with the give it some time you'll get over it if you dont dwell in the past, fordge the future.

Distance yourself from him. Find things to do with friends. Take care of yourself--do the things that you enjoy--such as food, music, movies, etc. When you think of him, have a phrase you say to yourself, such as "He is not available" or "He doesn't love me."

close ur eyes and picture urself without him or with a happy scene that he's not in....that will work, stop pining for him....if he doesnt feel the same way...then he's not for you..if he's a friend he will be there no matter what
