I have never met our father only spoke with him twice on the phone...and he has always been beyond dead set against it...but i know that he has two other children besides myself and i think about the sister all the time. they live less than two hours away from me but he has more money than god and likes to use it to intimidate.

I only know about her because i hired a private investigator to find him, he hid behind his wifes social # because he knew that his 1969 love child(me) would someday show up

i don't think he can sue you for that. i'd write her a letter, so you don't make her too uncomfortable. don't get your hopes up, blood is only thicker than water if you grow up with them...

First of all I dont think there is anyway that your sperm donor (dad) could sue you. If you want to make contact with her that is your choice and if she wants to have a relationship with you your dad cant stop her. You didnt give enough info as to why your dad is so against this. I am thinking it is something that he isnt proud of affair etc...In any case if you are an adult and she is he has no say in the matter. You can contact her by writing her a letter or a phone call whatever you choose.

I doubt that your Dad could sue you for harrassment of someone else. If you want to meet her, go for it. I would write or call her first, it will be a shock and she may need some time.

He can't sue you for trying to find your sister. Don't let him initmidate you. He must not want you to talk with her b/c it brings up his past wrongful doings. At any rate, there are lots of sites on the internet that you can use to search for people. If you know her full name, age, and city she lives in...it's a breeze to find her. It's up to you after that. You can go knock on her door, call her, or mail her a letter. Good luck!

Have you tried talking to your mother about this? She may have some good advice. Also, maybe ask your dad why he's so opposed to it. Unless there is currently a court order against your meeting your sister, there shouldn't be anything wrong with you meeting her. If you do get to meet her don't pester her or her family. Good luck :)

He can't sue you for harrassment for trying to find your sister. He's just trying to scare you. I would try to give you some advice, but I don't know how much you know about her. How did you find out about her, and how much do you know already?

He should have never told you if he didn't want you to try to find her. This is your chance to find her before she moves away. Don't shy away, this may be you're only chance, if not you will be sorry for the rest of you're life. Walk up to her and introduce yourself. Good Luck
