When you started your job or educational program, did you know what you were getting yourself into?

Please elaborate. I'm quite surprised what mine entails and wonder how common that is.

no when i picked my job Maintance system data analysts i had no ideal what it was when i joined the air force back in 94, but i just basically deal with computers all day Long some times it gets boring but it beats the flight line :)
