It depends on the university. It also depens on how they review the applicants (more on an individual basis which would mean more personal questions and less emphasis on GPA or more on a large groups which looks at statistics rather than people) It is hard to figure out what type of reviewing that each college does. Generally, a minimum GPA is required. Applying to a bunch of colleges is a good idea and if you can't afford to apply to a bunch then the GPA is probably highly rated. in personal experience, the high school GPA has little to do with the student's performance in college so in the long run it won't actually matter that much (other than scholarships of course).

the first concept that were given right here to my innovations upon interpreting this post replaced correct into a million. WHY is college classes cost is united statesa. ridiculously intense priced? WHY do colleges % a lot money? a school isn't a agency corporation like Apple or Microsoft. My sister will graduate from her 4 years of faculty instantly and the finished coast of classes pee paid for the time of those 4 years....is OMG too a lot. the volume is phenomenally a lot as a lot via actuality the U.S. nationwide debt. 2. do colleges quite want numerous money? 3. united statesa. is on the on the spot dealing with an financial disaster; it quite is anticipated to be between the worst ever in U.S. heritage. So unemployment is a increasing problem, the commercial kit is getting spoiled and there are more advantageous innocuous voters suffering less than the poverty line. and that i'm now no longer adverse to the authorities notwithstanding the federal authorities does no longer seem sorting it out properly. i don't recognize that a lot on the challenge of the ecnonomy, so i chanced on from my sister (she's an organization / economics major) and that i'll tell that the country, the commercial kit and so on are all dealing with a disaster. Soo....i don't recognize yet till ultimately the authorities substances to love help the unfavourable pay for school or some thing I strongly recommend that colleges do now no longer strengthen classes prices. in any diverse case...united statesa. will face a unprecedented worse tutorial disaster. Does the stuff I typed make journey? want it does. And......the most acceptable tips is that the intense priced classes cost paid to an truly good college replaced into honestly really properly worth it thinking the incontrovertible actuality that my sister were given an truly good pastime 2 weeks earlier commencement.

very important. Note that the people in college do not know who you are. All they have to evaluate people is their gpa and SAT scores. Just like the bank has the credit scores. Its a competition. If you have two guys applying for college but there is only one opening left then there must be a way to help decided who gets it. Especially since they haven't seen who the applicants are. The one with the higher scores has a better chance to get in. The one time when this does not apply is when you go on a one on one interview. When doing this charisma can obercome gpas. But if you have both then even better.

Weighted gpa? Not important. If the colleges ask for a gpa on a 4.0 scale, that's not weighted. A gpa of 4.2 on a 4.0 scale means nothing.

It really depends on what school you are trying to get into. Because i didn't have a great GPA i high school so i applied to 2yrs schools. They generally don't care about your GPA you just have to pass the assessment entrance test. But good luck with everything

It depends on the college you wish to attend. Mostly, they will look at your gpa, application letter/essay, extracurricular activities, references and SAT/ACT scores. So, even if you have a bad/good gpa, it's all the other stuff that matters.
