Can somebody please help me. outlook express has blocked me from being able to save or open an attchment that i really need is there a way to make outlook express unblock me from saveing these attachments. i cant even open them. I REALLY NEED HELP!!!!! PLEASE!!!

Open Outlook Express...
Click TOOLS
then click OPTIONS
Then click the SECURITY tab
UNCHECK the box that says DO NOT ALLOW ATTACHMENTS TO BE SAVED THAT COULD CONTAIN A POTENTIAL THREAT...
Click Apply and Ok.

Go to tool options,security and look for DO NOT ALLOW ATTACHMENTS TO BE OPENED OR SAVED THAT COULD BE POTENTIALLY BE A VIRUS. Uncheck that option if it is so and you should be all set close the program and relaunch.
Be sure to have antivirus installed as this is pop mail and is filtered by but the program operates more on the hard drive level and the computer itself should have protection from virus'

Chances are that you need to reset the entire program or you can go to the folder of the attachment you want right-click the file then go to Sent to> Mail Recipient then it will automatically have your file without browsing to pick it, then send. NOTE: The file size of your particular attachment is recommended to be less than 5 MB

One possibility: Tools > Options > Security > uncheck the box that says "Do not allow attachments ...". But if that is the problem, BE CAREFUL after you uncheck that box.

New Microsoft security procedures won't let you open an executable attachment.
You will either have to have the sender rename the file (changing the .exe) and resend it, or you will have to forward it to your Yahoo mail.
