It's a free downloading stuffs.
You can share and download anything on it. Music, videos, computer programs, even powerpoint slides and word documents.

Well you can download stuff such as movies, music, videos, porn, photos, and you can do it for free or get the version Pro (which you have to pay). Some say the Pro version is faster, well maybe that's true, but I tell you I have the free one and I can download a movie in just a day or less.
I'm sorry but I MUST disagree with the girl above: Limewire is a file-sharing program, it's not a virus, the thing with limewire is that you have to know what is secure to download and what's not. For example for movies I only download the ones that have Avi codes (because that's the code package that I downloaded), and with the symbol of the Reproductive Multimedia, I have downloaded lots of movies (even some of them are in theaters now) and I've never had a virus problem. Now if you start to download anything just like the files that are in Zip then you get screwed, 'cause those are the ones that contains viruses.
I once downloaded one (at the beggining of having limewire) and I got a virus called Generic, but it was eliminated by my anti-virus.
Dont get deceived my friend, Limewire is the best!!! (at least for me)

Limewire is a peer2peer network program(that you download from limewire.com) meaning that you type in what you are looking for, music, games, movies etc. , and you connect to other people that have the file you are looking for and you dowload it from them. Just be careful sometimes people purposefully mislabel things to send viruses or just to piss you off. It is not a torrent client but it does work similar to one. Instead of using the world wide web/http site, you just type in what you are looking for into the designated search box. There is a free version and a pay version. I dont think there is much difference between the two versions except minor things like killing some unintrusive adds and you get a nice shiny box. I beleive the $ package is just more of a way to show your support for the company for providing a decent product.

It is a website that allows you to download music for free. It's just like Napster was BEFORE they got sued and had to start charging. It works with just about any brand of MP3 you can imagine.
You won't have a hard time finding just about any song you can think of on there. But beware, often you will get search results that include a listing for : Stephen Spielberg Gets a Prank Call - it is suspected to be a virus.

you can download the free version at limewire.com and it is a person to person file sharing network. IT is a great thing to have, however in some cases it is illegal.

It is a P2P program that allows you to share files. It is a popular program that has taken the place of others like Napster and Winmx. The program is legal, but if you trade copyrighted files such as music, it's useage is considered a no no.

I have downloaded like 40 movies,a lor of programs like nero 7, microsoft ofice 2003, games and all that stuff for FREE!!

Its a file sharer program people can upload their music, video or pic files and you can download them for free (although its not always the best of quality)

Do not get it. Limewire is a virus within itself. It can really mess your computer up. Do not get it. There are other things, I can not remember them but I do know that you shouldn't get Limewire. It ended up making my computer crash. This is the fourth computer I have had, and all three before it got F^cked because of Limewire.
