If someone does not learn love by being raised in a loving home, or by seeing other examples of selflessness and kindness later on in life, it is very difficult for such a person to truly love themselves, or to show love. This is one reason why our society is falling apart, due to the enormous number of divorces and single-parent homes, No parent is as good as both. And the natural selfishness of children is evident in the selfishness of the adult (bodies) they grow into. And the bitterness of the disappointment they have suffered by the lack of love becomes evident in their cruelty and selfish using of pther persons. And the cycle repeats.

Nope, its not possible at all. One who does not love himself is dissatisfied with himself, and for such a person to be loving to others, is not possible.
Such people are always looking for people who will make them feel that they are worthy of being loved, and hence get attracted to such people strongly. However, the relationship will be a tough one, because the other person will always have to express love to him in the way he expects, or he will feel unloved.
Love is universal - when you love yourself, you tend to love everyone in general, and are more affectionate with close relations. If a person doesn't love himself, he loves not a person, but his/her behaviour which makes him feel secure.

Yes, you can think you're not a very good person, and love someone, but not think you're good enough for them.
