He used to be a good player when he was in Manchester United, but his performance slackens after marrying Posh Spice. He has the most marketable face and many companies signed him up for their advertisements. All the publicities, his adultery affair with his former personal assistance, and rocky marriage with Posh Spice affected his football performance, thus he is not in the first team in Real Madrid. As he knows he is getting older and not at his prime, he is escaping to MLS with a huge paycheck.

Yes he is, all in all. It's a good thing, not his fault for being great looking! I am very happy for him. I wish more players were that famous away from their own countries! For what ever reason!
All great players need more exposure in the media, especially in the USA! where the money is!
