Was only 4 wks max pregnant and my Dr wont see me. She sent me to the ER and they did nothing. I've had 3 kids before but never a miscarriage. She said today over a phone conversation I'm probally ok since I was not very far along.

Need to know if anyone has had a D&C before when they were only a couple of weeks pregnant at the time of misscariage? Want to make sure this Dr. doesn't screw up my body? I passed a bunch of stuff, then it stopped. Sunday I was finally feeling good (this all began last Wensday) so not thinking anything of it I pulled my kids on a sleigh, it probally weighed 100lbs. Came inside and was hemoraging and cramping pretty bad. After 2 hours the bleeding lightened up, so I didn't go in (it was snowing pretty bad).

Monday the bleeding stoped, but today I've been cramping and bleeding again, Is this normal? Is there a chance I need a D&C or will I be ok without one? Sorry for gross details I just cant get any clear answers from my Dr. Thanks

Has anyone here ever misscarried and not needed a D&C? How far along were you and when did the bleeding stop?

i lost my baby at almost 11wks and decided against a d&c. i was given weekly check ups and scans at the hospital to make sure everything was coming away.
i tested + for the pregnancy hormone for around 4 wks after and my bleeding went on for over 4 wks ( very heavy with bad cramps ) but they also think i got a normal period in that time so you may bleed for a little less time.
each women is different i have had friends who have lost babies and all they were told was to do a pregnancy test for a couple of wks after they lost the baby to make sure it came back - if after 2 wks it was still + to contact the hospital. apparently lots of women can miscarry at around 4 wks and not even realise they were pregnant!!!
if you are still in doubt speak to your doctor again.

It really depends,u might have some stuff still left inside that didnt come out naturally...if thats the case it could cause an infection...Miscarriage bleeding usually lasts a couple weeks and will be off and on in color...since the miscarriage u shouldnt be doing any kind of steneous activity until your next period since your body is still recovering from the loss (s sorry to hear by the way)...I had a miscarriage once a couple years back...I was 12 weeks along but my babies passed away at 7 weeks and 8 weeks (twins) but my body didnt naturally miscarry...i noticed a little blood and cramps with a little tissue at first but the doctor prescribed me some pills to take to help clear my body out..After taking the meds I miscarried all of the contents within 8 hours and went for a routine check up and everything cleared out ok...I got pregnant again very soon afterwards with no problems and never needed a d&c...call your doc or go to the er and have them check u out, they will prob give u an ultrasound to make sure everything passed,if not then they might have to do a d&c..u can ask for the meds if available to you as i think this was much easier for me to deal with...Good Luck!

Sorry to hear what is going on. I was 12 weeks last Friday the 19th of January and had a miscarriage this week. If I was you I would find a didn't doctor to go to. You might still have some stuff left inside and might need to have a D&C. If you start hemoraging and cramping anymore I would go back to the ER right away. They told me if you go through a pad every 30 to 60 mins go straight to the ER. I hope everything turns out alright.

Sorry for your loss. Even though you were only a few weeks along you may still need a D&C. Especially if you are still experiencing cramping. There may be something still inside that could cause an infection. Please don't waste time wondering go get checked, for your kids. Good luck.

I think that you may need a D&C. I was thought to be having a misscarriage with my first (5 weeks) and I was told that I would have to go to the hospital and get a D&C. I would go to a different doctor.

I don't think you need a D&C unless you were past your first trimester, in your case you werent. I'm very sorry about your loss.
