I have a psp and when I try to access open wifi I give error message?

Psp is 802.11b and I want to convert it to a 802.11g is this possible. How can I access open wifi. I work two door down from a company that has open wifi but when I try to access that wifi it gives me an error message. I am thinking the signal isn't strong enough. How can you make it stronger.

You can't unless you convince the company to get a bigger WiFi antenna. I doubt they'll do that.

Connecting from b to g is possible.
