Why? 'Peace' doesn't mean plague, disease or pestilence-free. People would still die, it just means there would less fighting, war and fewer conflicts among countries and people. While it's true that people die during war time, and we are losing our troops to war, we still lose a lot of people to AIDs, cancer, accidents and other causes of death.

When I think of the term "world peace" I think of all the years of conflict in the Middle East, religious turmoil, hostilities even in the United States through civil unrest, and the fight for the rights of all people that have gone on for centuries. How wonderful it would be to live without the fear of that kind of hatred?

If we could live without that, all the great minds could potentially work together to solve the other problems of the world and even stamp out hunger and poverty instead of devising new ways of destroying each other...

It wouldn't get overpopulated because of world peace. It would only get overpopulated if people kept on breeding like rabbits. It's called BIRTH CONTROL, people....look into it!
