hmmm subtypes? i am currently studying volcanoes but what are subtypes of them. i dont think they have any.

Sounds like you are talking about the shapes of volcanoes.
there are 5 different shapes of a volcano:
shield, cinder core, stratovolcanoes, submarine volcanoes and
subglacial. I did a search engine at Wikipedia. Hope this helps.
