Do you think that it has gotten near impossible to be hired anywhere without going through endless background checks, and drug tests, and now even credit checks and now personality test to see if you will be a good robot to hire? Then they make you watch the bogus movies for two weeks about how to act around coworkers and what not to do and how to treat the customers in this situation and so on ,while they train you how to use their computer programs . And for such awful pay usually! and then you have to worry about not getting fired because there is not real job security. What has happened to the right to earn a living?

I'm not sure if this answers your question, but my boss uses those personality tests on the new people he hires. If you have ever read the results from one of these you might be a bit surprised. The test will tell you if a person is more of a team player or individual worker, if they are suited for management or best as an employee, if they are creative with ideas or prefer a manual to go by and just type in data. It also tells you the best way to help the employee, how to critique their work when necessary, if you should give them tons of work at once or small amounts at a time, and what kind of things will keep them happy working there. So, what I'm trying to say is that a lot of the info goes a long way in keeping a person that you hire also. Its not just geared to see if you are a good robot.

Well, sure that is your side of the story. But when it comes to the employer’s side of things it is pretty fair they drag you thru these. They want employees who are loyal, who are not trouble makes, who are suitable to their organizational culture and so many other aspects.

As a candidate in the preliminary rounds of interviews it self you have to try to get idea of how suitable you are to the job and the company. Whether you will be satisfied working there and whether the benefits you receive are up to what you are expecting and market rates. If the answers to these are “No”, well then you can let pass the rest of the interviews, back ground/ medical tests and personality tests etc.

Hey, Dick...I thought you were criticizing the world of American slaves, now I see you are struggling to be a slave yourself. You should follow your heart and live free of authority. Forget the job. Move out of your parents home and live in a box somewhere.
