It depends on how you take pain. It's just a quick pop, nothing someone with a decent pain tolerance couldn't handle. You'll be fine! The most important things are one, make sure you keep the piercing cleaned so it can heal, and two, to get it done at a professional piercing place. Many salons and stores like Kmart/Walmart/Claires offer ear piercing, but they use piercing guns. Piercing guns are very bad for your ears. See here: http://www.akrontattoos.com/Pguns.html
So make sure you go to a professional! The age limits though I do not live in florida are most likely any age under 18 with parental consent. If your parents will not let you get it done, do not whine and do not go behind their back and get it done by an unprofessional, or attempt it yourself. Just wait! Show that you're responsible by being honest and mature, and then ask. That's your best bet. Good luck!

Yes it hurts pretty bad.
The pain lasts a bit longer as it is cartilage that gets pierced and at night when you turn your head, it woke me up.
Went away after 2 days or so, but that also depends on the individual and how much pain tolerance they have. I don't know the age limit in Florida, didn't know there was one. You might have to take a parent to sign a consent form.

Yep, A friend challenged me along for the ride & I took the seat first. I held back the pain, shocked that it was much more painful than my other piercings. I waited until she took the seat & could not contain my laughter when she yelled out in torment, she looked at me as if I had really pulled a good one over on her. We still laugh & talk about it.
After the piercing it took months…long months for me to be able to sleep with out pain or to not scream when I bumped my new piercing. It was not worth the effort. I was told it might have been the area of the piercing, my friend had no problem with hers but her piercing was located higher on the ear than mine. ??? That’s what I get for my humor…LOL

It hurts. It feels like a bee sting. The pain will not last long at all. You'll never even remember it. That's how minor it hurts.

if its through cartilage its going to hurt, depending on your pain tolerance. My more painful piercings, nipples cartilage, had a odd feeling. Felt hot burning sensation that passed through my body, but i liked how it felt. I got an adrenaline rush.

most places are 16 w/ parent consent, don't go to wall-mart or anywhere they uses a GUN to pierce. there are so many problems with having a piercing done w/a gun

my grandaughter went to walmart to get hers done and they hit a nerve when the earring went in,caused infection, she had to take it out and when it got well she had it pierced again in another place on the side at the top if that makes sense.

It feels the same as if you got your lobe pierced, its just a quick pinch. It's sore for a while and you can't sleep on it.
