I just asked a similar question...but I decided to change it:

Ok, right now I am attracted to guys. I can't tell if I'm attracted to girls or not but, I have had a dream about kissing a girl. (My question before was asking how credible dreams are.)
However, this wasn't like yesterday; it was several months ago and it's still nagging me. If I was completely straight, then would I be able to accept it and move on? Is my subconcious trying to tell me something? Or is it just random dream stuff?

There have been several times when I have admired girls, but I didn't think it was like crushes. I thought I considered them role models. Once, one of these girls kissed me and told me she thought I was cute. Maybe she was able to pick up on something about me I was not able to? (I avoided her after that because I was scared.)

I feel very confused; my feelings are all muddled right now. There may be something obvious that I'm not seeing. What do you make of my situation?

The major point is: I can't tell if I'm bi or straight.

Hi Kalii! I have studied and done research regarding dreams and their interpretations. Dreams are not always literal, in fact most dreams and representations of things going on in subconscious. People in your dreams may look like people you know, but are actually a representation of one of your characteristics mirrored in someone who in your conscious mind has those same characteristics. A kiss is usually fear of losing something or keeping something close.

For example: If I have a dream where I am kissing a girl, that does not make me a lesbian. It could either mean, the girl in my dream is a good friend (boy or girl) and there is change in the dynamic of the friendship. Or the girl could be something in me that a view as positive (like my sense of humor) that might be changing...like I may becoming more cynical...but I want to hang on to my sense of humor. Does that make sense?

The reason it could be nagging at you is because it is something that your subconscious is trying to get your attention about.

Hope this helps!

Your situation is not that strange or different, many young males have thoughts for both male and females. The dream really doesnt mean anything. If you have not made a decission about your lifestyle , then if you meet some girl, go out , have fun, and if it leads to something else then go with it. If at anytime you feel uncomfortable you can back off. Dont let these things worry or bother you. The reason for being scared is that its an experience you have had. worse case you dont like it. if thats it then dont do it again...

I think that you maybe bi but I have e-mailed your question to a friend of mine who we share some gay friends in common and to make it all that much better she holds a masters degree in psychology. I told her that she could probably help you more that I could.
