I know they're hilarious, but it's often this happens. I guess they just know they're good at it, or is it true: black guys are freaky?

Hollywood is a white man's perception of the world. The whole basis of racism is the white man player hating on the black man. Anyway to make a black man look less like a man, white men are willing to oblige.

you could ask why straight actors play gay? or vice versa.
Or why they play "white chicks".... LOL
That's just what acting is - pretending to be something you're not.
It's like halloween masks... nothing more.
Personally, I hate it when actors are type cast... it's boring to watch them play the same role over and over again.

yeah you always see black men playing the big mama they grew up with. Its just like when anyone grows up with a crazy person and you want to make fun of them. And you do it well because you know them so well.
