Body Heat from 1981. A very young Kathleen Turner's first movie, and probably her sexiest role ever. William Hurt in an unusual role as a dumb and gullible lawyer. A totally unknown pre-Cheers Ted Danson in his second movie as an oddball district attorney. And even a very compelling pre-Diner Mickey Rourke in a quirky role as an arsonist in one of his first movies.

It's characterized as lot of things: neo-noir, black comedy, murder whodunit. The plot is as sizzling as the relationship between Hurt and Turner, and you'll want to watch it again immediately after seeing it to be sure you got it.

But best of all is the dialog:

Matty: [to Ned] You aren't too smart. I like that in a man.
Ned: What else do you like? Lazy? Ugly? Horny? I got 'em all.
Matty: You don't look lazy.

It may not be the best movie of the eighties, but it's certainly worth a look, even 25 years later.
