There is someone I have known for a while now, but if I am honest with myself I really do not care for this person. When this person is around they make me feel very uncomfortable. What would you suggest? I cant seem to get rid of this person, always around, and doesnt seem to get the point.

The thing is I work with this person, and they know where I live. I dont know how. That is one reason for my discomfort. I run in to them at the grocery, and sometimes even at the gas station. Creepy? yeah.

Hi Phoenix, if this person is always around, I'm afraid the best thing to do in a situation like this is to face the music and kindly tell them the truth. But doing this means being truthful and truthful only, saying only what needs to be said. Morally it's the best for the both of you. Good luck.

Work harder to find some common ground and to like them. It would be cruel to ditch them at this point. I know how you feel, I had a girl that I hung around with once in a while and after 5 years I finally admitted to myself that I really didn't care for her. I didn't have the heart to just be a b*tch and tell her to buzz off so I started working to find common ground. She loves to shop so now most of our time together is spent when we want to shop. Makes for a more pleasant experience.

Some people require telling. Look him in the eye and say "GO. AWAY." if the doesn't go, get a restraining order! Then you can have him put in jail if he doesn't leave you alone! What he's doing, especially if it makes you uncomfortable, is more like stalking than visiting.

I'm wondering where you are that you have constant contact with this person? At work? In school? How can someone be "always around?" Are they a family member? Please provide more detail as to the nature of the relationship.

When he/she is around... find someone else to chat with and pretend like this person you don't particularly care for is not around... in other words, simply ignore them... Your problem person will get the idea sooner or later... hopefully sooner !
