...you could save a lot of time and do it the American consumerist way.

I went to Wal-Mart last spring and bought a pine tar rag for like $2...it was great and dirty, dirt cheap. It was made by Franklin too, so you know it wasn't something that the stock boys at Wal-Mart had thrown together over their lunch hour.

It's still got plenty of super stickity-stick to it and like I said...TWO DOLLARS!!! It was a steal for how much it has come in handy. As soon as your local Wal-Mart sets up their spring/summer baseball and softball display, start looking around for the pine tar rag!

Hope that helps.

It is very hard to explain I have pictures of the one I made. I took a rectangular rag and used duct tape on the whole back side and most of the front leaving a 5 inch by 4 inch area where the rag showed. I folded it in half and used that area to rub up my bats with pine tar. Im sorry if that is not clear it is very hard to explain.

Take a regular rag and wipe the pine tar off a bat and thats how you have a pine tar rag.
