I would say Maine. The only thing rubbing up against it is New Hampshire and the other thing is Canada but that doesn't count. Alaska is butted up against Canada and Hawaii butts up to nothing.

Western Australia is bordered by only one other state, since the Northern Territory is technically not a state.

There may be other examples in other countries too, but I wouldn't know about that.
