Drama...try to stay away from it!! And you will probably lose touch with some of your friends, but you'll make new ones.
Good luck! =)
Oh and in HS, it isn't referred to as "9th grader". It's "Freshman". Then Sophomore, Junior, and Senior.

Depending on what type of school you go to, many different things can be negative. High school was mostly hell for me because I was on the receiving end of many girl's jokes and negative comments just because I wanted to do well in school.
Peer pressure also is a huge factor in many stupid decisions made by high school students. Vulnerability and wanting to fit in help break down many a student's resolve.
Drama is a major part of the high school process and my advice to you would be to make a few good friends early on to help you get through. If you can stay above the petty arguments, peer pressure, and stereotyping that is common in many high schools you will have a much easier time in high school.
Don't worry, we all get through high school and it makes us stronger people.

Drama definitely. High school is supposed to prepare you for the rest of your life, there are some people at every high school that insist on being children, avoid these people and you'll be fine. That's not to say you can't have fun, you just have to grow up in the process!

high school rocks: there isn't much negative things at my school, but i guess i dont have classes with all my friends. however we all have same lunch and choir together, so i keep in touch with them and make new friends at the same time! there are so many more options, and in high school your grades really start counting so make sure to work really hard!
