well, i havent played halo for pc in a while and i wanted to get back
into it, so i recently downloaded the latest patch for halo(pc). well,
when i went to go play online, this box popped up on my computer and said "please insert the disk". well the halo cd was already inserted in the cd drive. whats wrong? does the patch that i recently downloaded deny the halo cd thats in my cd drive? the campaign works fine by the way. thanks:)

Are you using a modified version of the game?
Cracked/patched or playing off a burnt CD?
that should be the only reason why it's asking you for that
you could try turning on emulation settings with it using
daemon-tools
