It's 24 hours if you play it continuously. Mine usually lasts about 5-6 days before I have to recharge it. I play them about 3-5 hours a day.

In most cases, battery life actually depends on the condition of the battery...of course, newer batteries performs longer and better compared to used ones. But since you are really curious about the battery life of your iPod, i will tell you how but its gonna be a very long process. Here's the step by step procedure:
1. Fully charge your ipod.
2. Play all the songs in your iPod and make sure that it is set to repeat the songs over and over again. Leave the ipod alone and don't turn it off, let it play songs until the battery is drained.
3.Count how many hours your iPod played all the music continually without interference, and that would be your ipod's battery life.

Usually an iPod's battery life lasts longer than expected. If it is specified in the box that the battery will last for 18 hours of continuous playback, it may last for over 25 hours of playback. another thing is the battery's age. Its life decreases down to 80% after 400 full charging cycles. This is very true since iPods are equipped with li-ion batteries that have short lifespan.
