nice try all of you. the real reason is that this was a test question. you were being tested. i used this answer to have proof that people only care about answering someone famous. this is the EXACT same question asked by Deepak Chopra. i literally copied and pasted the question. it may seem obvious that people will answer more to famous people, but this is just for proof. i have about 11 answers. Deepak Chopra has 25,000+ answers. they are the exact same question.

this was basically proof of the human nature, which is to respond to one who is famous.

P.S. i already know what happens to your soul when you die. if you're interested, make comments once a answer is chosen. i will post there for those who are interested.

Good Luck!

Our "souls" live on in the memories of those left behind. Otherwise they end up in the earth, with our other mortal remains.
I haven't a clue as to why, excepty that it seems obvious, to me, that "once you're gone, you're gone" except in memories.
If you're talking a "god" thing, then I can't even start - 'cos there isn't one.

i believe u probably have a paper to write and it is probably a philosophy paper that u really do not know how to write.. so i will give u a philosophical explanation since i based my thesis on it. When a person dies and a soul is all the remains it travels through to places it has visited. once a person has reached an excellence within the realm of humanity (and so it is said through religion) the soul travels to other entities in order to reach the highest excellence of all. The goal of a soul is to reach the realm of God. others may say that the soul recycles itself in order to continue existing but if all things have a soul the argument for this theory would stipulate how does the soul determine how and where to go in order to recycle it self or you can even say it until it finds another shell to live in

You may want to read the Republic from Plato ,,some say the book is based on the building of a city other say that he is using the analogy of building the perfect city is actually the metaphor for reaching the highest excellence for the soul through ones life

According to Einstein, your you, the real one, or soul, according to the logic of the 1960's, becomes free from his basic formula on time, energy, relativity and "your really, really, real self. There are certain unenviable rights that remain beyond our curious carcass's.
For example, forget murder and who is responsible, and don't blame the soldiers because the blame is clearly Clinton's or the real decider, God. It is your choice, your vote does count on the question of war or war no more, but the blame is clearly Clinton's fault, if anyone gets hurt.
I did a poll, and then I counted heads and asked all of those that actual ever went to war if they thought it was in anyway the responsibility of the average citizen that America has killed over a million foreigners since three strikes were enacted and started taking bad people off the streets. Three hands went up and asked if I would be kind enough to walk them through this one more time before they answered.

Look, i can't tell you if there is something like a soul, but there is a probability. What i can't tell you about this, is that there ain't a person with the "truth", in this or any matter, so believe whatever YOU want to believe, just don't try to convince others that there is a "TRUE GOD", because there is not a true god, there a lot of irrational ideas and people how want to judge everyone else because of their beliefs... to this kind of people i say: Remember Hitler, Remember Stalin, Remember Franco, Remember Pinochet, Remember the crusades, remember the witch hunts in your own USA, and all the war crimes caused by thinking that someone is right, and that someone is not.
So you better don't worry about your soul or your death, worry about your life, and try to live it the way you think that is best.

Think Yin Yang buddy or maybe even Newton's law "for every reaction there is an equal and opposite reaction." When you die there are only two choices. You have to figure out the right God out of the mess of them. And like the old man says in The Last Crusade before drinking from the fountain of life, "CHOOSE WISELY." There is only one God and it is to him we say "In God we trust." As to why you are asking this question I guess I am just not smart because I have no clue except that someone close to you died and you are questioning death?

I don't die; my body dies. I can only use analogy to discuss my meaning, so bear with me. I began my existence, my journey, as an individual, associated with this material body for a short time to experience and learn about myself, my reality, through life in this physical universe. But my reality does not belong to this material world.

You could say that in this world I am preparing for the next world, similar to when I was in the womb of my mother preparing for birth into this life by growing arms, legs, eyes, ears, etc., to use in this world. Oblivious in that womb world to this world, and oblivious of the purpose of those tiny arms, legs, eyes, and ears, etc., perhaps, I didn't know or care if this world existed, so happy and comfortable was I there, but still this world was here, and only a thin sheath of skin separated me from it. Little did I know. Fortunately, I was born into this material world with a good set of appendages and a good mind, so I didn't have too many challenges in that regard.

Similarly, in this material world, my life lessons grow my arms, legs, eyes, etc., that I will need in the world after material existence ends. How well I learn my lessons in this life determines how well developed my "appendages" are and how well they work in the world after this world. Again, as in the womb, my obliviousness of this next world, is in no way indicative of its non-existence, or that I am separated from it again by only a thin veil. Additionally, although my development in the womb world was effortless, in contrast, this world requires great effort for development.

Although my body recycles into the physical world, -- interesting how the physical world reflects that non-physical world -- I continue my journey, the quality of which is in direct proportion to how well I've grown and developed my "appendages" here for the non-material world which we inhabit after this material world-- those would be attributes and qualities which, by the way, enrich this life as well. Development of these qualities is one of the purposes of physical life.

The same thing that happened before you were born. Do you remember? Did it hurt? Were you unhappy? Nothing to be afraid of. Fear only exhists when you are 'alive'.

I believe it is up to us to decide what happens to our soul after we die and that would open up another can of worms.
