y do ppl insist that the bible is law. first of all, 4 all anyone knos, it was a science fiction novel written 2,000 years ago 4 everyones entertainment. come on, shakespeare wrote stories about people and put some true things in there but that didn't make the story true. second, if it is true, what makes u think that god hasn't changed his mind over the years. he wanted man to populate and fill up this Earth, but now that we have completely covered the planet and we've more or less destroyed it, what makes u think that maybe god would actually want us 2 go away but has 2 much of a heart 2 do it. third, if god does hate gays than y did he make us this way? we were born gay and since god decides whether we r born or not and how we r made, than i have 2 believe that he isn't against us queers.

by the way, i'm not against the christians, i am one!

There is and old saying: "even the devil can quote scriptures for his own purposes"

Some people hate gays. It sucks but its true. God has nothing to do with it. Jesus has nothing to do with it. The bible has nothing to do with it. Christianity has nothing to do with it. People that what to hate have EVERYTHING to do with it.

If you want to argue something, no matter what it is, and you look hard enough I'm sure you can find some obscure passage to support it. The idea that the bible is anti-gay amounts to 1 line in exodus that says "a man will not lie next to another man as he lies next to a woman".... That its... Out of a whole book we have 1 very short sentence, and somehow that translates into the entire book being anti-gay; and that's just garbage. Remember in the civil war both North and South used the bible to supports or reject slavery.

Bottom line is people will read what they want out of the bible... Don't blame the book. Blame the readers.

honestly, you want to regulate your wording only somewhat: Hebrew Bible Roman Catholic Bible Protestant Bible The Jewish students finished the version of the Hebrew Bible in about the 0.33 century. That textual content is protected in both the RC and Prot. Bible. The order of the books is diverse, because of underlying assumptions. The Christian Bible (the recent testomony) wasn't really nailed down till almost the 10th century or so. After that, it become locked in. This become executed in a chain of Church Councils. this textual content is an same in both the RC and Prot. Bible, and the former testomony is exceptionally a lot an same in both of those Bibles, except that the order will be somewhat diverse. the in user-friendly words huge difference between the RC and Prot. Bibles is the presence of the Apocrypha -- various books that were unknown in Hebrew, yet were protected robotically in Greek language translations of the former testomony that were in difficulty-free use around the time of the early Church. That Greek translation of the former testomony (noted as the Septuagint) become so difficulty-free (maximum Jews did not on the on the spot keep in innovations a thanks to speak or examine Hebrew anymore) that whenever you locate the former testomony quoted contained in the recent testomony, that is continuously the Septuagint textual content they are quoting.

The bible was written by a bunch of paranoid men, not God.
