I have a feeling you are thinking of Nordstrom Rack. That is their blow out, overstock/off season close out store.
The answer is no. Big Lots is a discount store dealing with odd lots and overstocked merchandise. It used to be called Pick & Save as someone already posted. It is definately worth checking out. I personally go there all the time, but only for CD/DVD cases as they have the slim ones at 25 for $3.99, not a bad deal.
Nothing wrong with looking for a bargain. You should see the luxury cars parked at my local 99 cent store.

Big Lots is like a Dollar General and Family Dollar Store but BigLots sales furniture and Big lots in the USA is owned by Super WalMart and Sams Club is also owned by Super Walmart!!

Nordstroms is upscale. Big Lots is not. Big Lots is my favorite store. You never know for sure what they'll have,since sometimes they have a one-time shipment. I have found some cool things at Big Lots.
I read what lots of the above answers say about Big Lots and it true that poor people shop there. It does have some high end stuff though. I could shop where ever I want, but I admit it, I'm cheap! There are some very good buys at Big Lots.

Absolutely!! My dogs do really foul farts, actually every dog i've ever been near that has farted has smelled really bad. Mostly i think they do quiet farts, i've never heard a loud one and i dont think the intensity of smell has anything to do with the size of the dog. I've had a German Sheperd, a Border Collie, a Kelpie, a Maltese, a Shih Tzu and a Dachsund, they all do quiet but smelly farts. Oh, they've all had different diets too. Also I worked for and had been involved with for the RSPCA for 18 years heard many different dogs do their business. Never heard a cat, but i have smelt it! All animals do it, the same as us - if it has a bowel, it'll fart. Hope that helps.

In my shopping opinion, BigLots is similar to Dollar General, Super Dollar. It is a little below Wal-Mart & K-Mart. It is a great store to find just " meanial stuff".

BigLots sells junk the other stores can't sell. Over stocks of cheap food items, cheap watches,,,,,housewares....You'll have to see it to believe it. It's not even on the same planet as Nordstroms...

NO BigLots is like a small Kmart. Cheap stuff at cheap prices.

It's a discount store. Here in California, they used to be called Pic & Save. It's kind of like the old J.J. Newbury stores. NOthing like Nordstroms
