Handicap? are you talking about Xiangqi? or Weiqi (Go)? I'm not aware of Xiangqi having a handicap.

Xiang qi has a General, chariots, cannons, elephants, palace guards, cavalry and soldiers. Each peace has a unique move and there is a river in the middle of the board. The object is to capture the General.

Wei qi only has one kind of piece "stone" the pieces don't move after you place them on the board unless they are captured. More commonly know as "Go" as it is called in Japan. The object is to collect territory.

Thirteen moves? well I would just say practice, practice and more practice. Sometimes playing someone that has more skill can be frustrating. I'd try to find someone with around the same level of skill as yourself. There are places on the internet to find opponents to play.

Cuban dominoes, really fun and addicting and easy to learn. It's like chess because, you also make your own strategies.

A good strategy is to try to align your own pieces to be able to jump your own pieces, and advance much quicker. I am not exactly sure how to win in 13 turns. Try google! Its a great resource ;)
