ok i had abnormal cell changes and i had laser surgery to remove them in November. I just started taking the pill again recently and I have bleeding for almost 2 weeks now, it's like a brownish colour. It's now starting to freak me out about a bit, I was like well since its my first pack of pills like what if I got pregnant or something or I am like what if the abnormal cells arent completely gone and the pill is screwing my body up because of them. I havent had a pap done yet to make sure the cells are gone and was told to wait 6 months after having my laser treatment. I just wanted anyones advice like is this normal? Ive taken the pill before having abnormal cells, same brand and never had any type of bleeding. I also haven't missed a pill either. Does anyone know what this might be?

This question needs to be asked of your physician. He/she should be very willing to allow you to ask and he/she should address this.

When I made a change in birth control I bled like crazy and my NP told me to take 400mg ibuprofen 4x a day. The second day the bleeding stopped. It may be really normal. I had abnormal cells years ago and had them froze off. They have never come back so try not to worry too much about future paps until the time comes.

It may have something to do with your surgery. Not to be nosy..but did you start the spotting after having sex?
I have had dysplasia on and off since I was 17. The last time I had to have a colposcopy, and biopsies, I spotted for months after I would have sex. I went back in wondering what the deal was, and they saw a scab like spot right on my cervix from the procedure, they thought that every time I would have sex, it was rubbing it off, preventing it from healing and causing me to keep spotting. I had to STOP having sex for 6 weeks, and when I resumed after the six weeks, have not had a problem since. Maybe you are just not healed on your cervix?

Is there any reason why you aren't asking your doctor about this? he knows far more than any yahoo 'expert' and can certainly set your mind at rest, or, if something is wrong, prescribe a course of action for you.
Hope all goes well for you, but please do check with a more reliable source on something as serious as this.

I would say it may have something to do with the surgery. When its brown blood its normally old blood. I don't know about being pregnant. I would call your Gynocologist as soon as possible.

when you have brown blood its old blood so it could have just been stored and is now coming out, from your surgery, when you see dark red or bright red with clots then you should be worried, but I would talk to your doctor about it just to be on the safe side
