My ex husband has a girlfriend who still contacts her ex boyfriend and begs him to come back to her. But my ex is too blind to notice this and it is screwing my life up. The longer she doesnt get what she wants the more she makes my life miserable. Someone has to pay for her misery and It is me. So how do I get him to realize she is putting him in a financial bind and just using him to have a warm body to sleep with at night??? Help? It effects our children as well. I dont want him back but I do want my children to be happy. If he is happy they are happy.

Don't encourage them to depend on their father for thier happiness. In fact, tell them in no uncertain terms that their happiness and contentment must not depend on any other person. Make certain they understand (tell them over and over) that the problems between you and their father are not their fault and his problems have nothing whatever to do with them. You may need to get them to a counselor because what you describe is not at all healthy for them. They MUST learn that they can function and be happy whether their father is or isn't content. All children should learn that.

I don't mean to sound harsh but I am not sure why you are putting yourself in the middle of their relationship-you don't belong there, just as any relationships you have are no longer his business, the same holds true for your ex. unless either one of them or both is/are abusing or neglecting your children when in their care you need to stay out of it...if your ex is miserable because of his choices, that's his problem, not yours. Are you able to talk to your ex at all, with regards to how his actions, etc. are hurting your children...that's something you could discuss (the effect on the children issue ONLY), but as I said before, the ex and his gf are none of your business, it is healthiest and prudent to stay out of it, and if you haven't already move on and start dating yourself...good luck!
