Im not sure about colour affecting taste but it can affect appetite, eg red and yellow colours increase appetite (just check out mcdonalds interior and packaging) while green and blue supress appeptie. Also, people often feel turned off by "wrongly" coloured foods, eg blue anything, green tomato sauce (remember that!? ew) as it seems unnatural.

But I think what you are refering to is synasthesia..people with this condition often confuse their senses...Eg i once knew a guy who, for each letter, word, number, there was a specific colour. So you might have synasthesia, which is pretty cool...like another layer to the world. Some scientists think we were all born with it but only a special few retain it. Lucky you! Google it to find out more.

no. not unless the coloured agents have a taste.
example i can dye rice red and it won't taste any different if the dye has no detectable taste.

also, think of a yellow and a green banana. they taste different. not because of the colour but because one is not ripe. as a result of it not being ripe it has a different composition and a green colour.l but the green colour does not give it its distinctive taste.
