Im sure many of you have seen (or are) those drivers who seem to disregard the fact that they are driving a two ton machine at a high speed. This combination apparently presents people with the perfect time to fix their hair or do their make up. Also, it seems to be a rule that while doing such things, you must either drive dangerously fast and clumsily or ridiculously slow.

By far the worse thing I have seen was someone driving on the highway. He had all four lanes to himself. Why? I foolishly tried to pass him, only to discover that 1) He has the reflexes of a drunken monkey and 2) To him, there is absolutely no problem with eating cereal while driving. Knees are like second hands. Thankfully, there was a median for me to dive into, and he spilled milk all over his Jaguar. He gave me a good laugh, AND a finger!

So, what is the worse thing you have seen someone do on the road?

This article from today. And drivers with this "skill" level isn't new in Toronto. Well, a man's legs being crushed IS new, but driver incompentence like you've described is an everyday thing here. In a 20 minute drive to work, I could get into 3 or 4 near-accidents because of people talking on their cell phones, doing their make up, eating, etc, etc, etc. And they always think that they are in the right. I remember a mother driving erratically by taking care of the baby in the backseat (I think she was feeding him baby food). When I horned her and got next to her at the next light, she had the gall to yell at me telling me that she had to take care of her son.

NEVER come to Toronto. Population's 2.5 million, 2.4 of them are the bottom feeders of the human race. If you ever want to die in a car crash, this is the place to go. God, I can't wait until I get out of this godforsaken city...

I just remembered another one. I was going to work on the highway where the speed limit's about 60-65mph (100km/h here). I was on the passing lane doing about 130km/h (that's about the speed everybody goes at up here, not necessarily unsafe since we're all on the same page, keeping the same distance between vehicles) when someone just cut me off going 80km/h. Yeah...I think this needs to be said again: NEVER come to Toronto.

I think I have the story that takes the cake. I was on the busiest interstate in the middle of rush hour traffic. There were people on the interstate whizzing by me going from 80 to 100 mph. I was behind a car that was doing approximately 80 mph. Whomever was in the car had just finished fueling because the gas tank was left opened. They were driving a small 2 door hatchback. Well, the person driving finally realized his gas tank was opened after 20 minutes of driving. The car had to be full of fools because the passenger crawled into the drivers lap causing him to swerve big time. I thought they were trying to do something not intended for the road because the passenger was a small female. After the driver regained control from the swerving, he began to lower the window. This stupid female hung the upper portion of her body out of the speeding car while the driver held the lower portion of her body so she would not fall out. Now he is still driving at about 75 mph, also. She began to reach her arms to the back of the car and close the fuel tank. I immediately slowed my car because I did not want to be the one to run her over if she fell from the car. Unfortunately, they finished this little stunt just before passing a police car! Just when you think some people cannot obtain more stupidity, someone always prove you wrong.

Nothing burns me more than TAIL-GATERS!
Then there is just the usual stuff.
Signaling right and turning left (or vise-versa) or not signaling at all.
Not dimming lights.
Speeding.
Driving slow in No Passing Zones and then speeding up in Passing Zones so you can't pass.
Pulling out in front of you and then poking along.
Passing and then slowing down and turning off.
(On four lane intersections) Starting the turn on the inside lane and cutting across to the outside lane, running you up onto the sidewalk in the process.

There isn't a day goes that I don't see at least half of the above . . .

Eating cereal? That's a new one. I have seen girls putting on mascara at the stop light. One time I saw someone with a reading book in his hand. I guess he was reading at all the stops. I really hate it though when people talk on the cell phones while trying to back out of a parking space. One guy was so involved in his conversation that he backed into another car that was honking at him to stop! I can't wait to read what other have to say - I am sure there are some good ones!

have you every heard of the jersey slide? It is where a person goes from the left all the way to the right, crossing at least one lane in the middle. I saw a person cross a total of 5 lanes on the phone not looking or siganlling in front of 2 18 wheelers

Not slowing down it a blinding snow storm. Like tonight some idiot flew past me and just up ahead you guessed it he was in the ditch. Since I knew I could do nothing for him I did not stop but the truck behind me did. I was doing 60 km in an 80 km zone. I guess the big 4X4 guy thought he was invincible. I did dial 911 and report he was in the ditch.
