I know some people question the humanity of glue traps but I find that they work THE BEST. The ones we buy already have seeds of some kind in them. We put them where we know or think them to be walking. So far this winter we have caught two. When we first saw the mouse we put the trap down and within four hours we caught the mouse. I am not interested in whether the trap is humane, I want them out of my house. They don't belong in there and they can carry illnesses.

Glue Traps are more suitable I have used them for my mom in regulation and they are plenty a lot less messy and also you may placed something like component of a chip or something interior the midst of it and they are going to come to get it and get stuck...i tried the mouse traps and positioned them to be messy blood everywhere

i take a shelled pecan drill a small hole thru it and using a fine piece of wire attach it to the trigger of the trap. works great, sometimes i can catch several of the little buggers with out having to replace the nut.

Unless you have a different kind of mice than we do (I'm British) I would suggest chocolate. The mice seem to like it to a fatal extent.

Bird seed and other grainy foods are good. I'm not sure cheese will actually work in real life.

Anything that smells strong... fruit, or molasses. We use that in the barn all the time, couple of drops of that and they line up to get it.

Rotten hamburger will work, too.
