If you own $1.00 and are 1 day late, legal action CAN be taken. How much before it WILL be taken is another issue. I can't answer that.

well the honor system doesnt work, thats been proven.

if the child support is late, they can schedule a hearing at any time. also if the arrears grows (no progress), or if constantly late they can schedule a hearing.

The state and federal government are tired of people not paying for their kids, so they passed these stronger laws. all of the child support laws are for the childs protection (best interest).
