WOW how can you compare Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo to Sputnik? Just seeing if we know Russian names? To compare apples to apples, the first US orbital satellite program was Explorer.
You would have to compare Mercury to Vostok, Gemini to Voskhod, and Apollo to Soyuz. Even Skylab could be compared to Salyut to a certain extent.

"a" is the answer.

Mercury (1958-1963)
Gemini (1962-1966)
Apollo (1960-1972)

Apollo missions are well known for moon landings. 7 apollo missions flew to Moon between 1969 and 1972, with 6 moon landings that were successful.

Sputnik, salyu and mir belonged to USSR space initiatives.
